Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Afrimmak collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We have kept it plain and short, because that is the point.

Afrimmak is a project of the Mendez Impact Foundation, based in Brusubi, West Coast Region, The Gambia. For anything in this policy, the Foundation is responsible for your information and is your point of contact.

Where things stand right now

At the moment, our Contact form is not connected to anything. It does not send or store your details — submitting it simply shows a notice on the page. So today, we are not collecting or holding any personal information through this site.

This will change once we connect the form to a service that can deliver your message to us. The rest of this policy describes what will happen then, so you know in advance. We will update the date at the top when that goes live.

What we collect

Once the Contact form is live, we will collect only what the form actually asks for:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to add it (optional);
• the message you write to us, including the topic you select.

We do not ask for anything else, and we would rather you did not put sensitive personal details in a message to us.

Why we collect it

To reply to you. That is it — answering questions about the competition, following up on partnership and funding enquiries, responding to media requests, and hearing from people who want to volunteer. We do not use your details for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list unless we add that option later and you clearly opt in.

Who sees it

Only the Afrimmak team, so we can respond to you. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own use.

When the form goes live, your message will be handled on our behalf by the third-party service we use to run the form and deliver it to us. That provider will store your submission so we can read it. We will name the provider here once it is chosen.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to respond to you and follow up properly, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If a conversation goes nowhere, we clear it out.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete what we hold.

Just email info@afrimmak.org and we will sort it out. There is no charge for this.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them through it. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us at info@afrimmak.org and we will remove it.

Analytics and third parties

We currently use no analytics, no cookies, and no third-party tracking on this site. Nothing follows you around, and nothing is counting your visits. If that ever changes, we will describe exactly what we have added, and update this section and the date above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Afrimmak grows and as the site gains new features — most importantly, when the Contact form goes live. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
